We are absolutely thrilled to have received a fantastic £200 from Tesco in Greenfield, towards our defibrillator fund.
We are very grateful for the support from their Community Champion, Greg Barrett, and their team, for supporting our cause.
If you would like to support our children in their efforts to raise money for a community defib in Denshaw village, please go to our Just Giving page.

Each year for Care Day, our children and young people take part in a sponsored event to raise money towards a charitable cause.
This year, Safehouses will be raising money for a life-saving community defibrillator ❤️ to be installed outside the Safehouses office, based in Denshaw, Saddleworth.
Our families and staff will be completing a sponsored walk on Thursday 20th February. If you would like to sponsor them, go to our Just Giving page:

We are supporting @Place2Be's Children's Mental Health Week.
Mental health and emotional wellbeing are extremely important for children in foster care. Many have experienced difficult journeys in their early childhood, parental mental health difficulties and often need support understanding their identity.
The message of this year's campaign is very poignant in helping both children and their caregivers in developing resilience and being healthy in body and mind.

We know that fostering can sometimes feel like a thankless task, and it is difficult to find the time to focus on taking care of yourself. This is important to be able to provide the best care to children, especially those children with extra need. We will be running regular wellbeing sessions for all our foster carers.
Yesterday we were lucky enough to be joined by Wendy of @healinghandsofsaddleworth, who delivered head, shoulder and neck massages to foster carers and staff.
Keep a look out for what we have planned for our next wellbeing session 💞
